The Social Significance Behind New Years Eve

New Year s Eve, which lands on December 31, is the last day of the year in the United States. It is an extremely common day for large parties, family gatherings, social gatherings and extensive news coverage on everything New Years related. These events usually attract thousands of people in large social gatherings including wee little children staying up way past their bedtime to see the fireworks. Money is often spent in large qualities for cruises, dinners, and hunting down the best locations to enjoy get this explosions of colors in the sky at midnight.  Not to mention thousands of people and millions of television viewers all stare at a ball drop in Times Square in Manhattan, New York City. The ball is made of crystal and electric lights and is placed on top of a pole, which is 77 feet, or 23 meters, high.
